RawScope processes images locally and does not upload your photographs.

Files and information RawScope accesses

RawScope reads camera RAW photographs that you choose to open, together with their embedded metadata. This can include camera and lens details, capture settings, dates, copyright information and GPS coordinates, if present. It uses this information to render your photograph, display photographic information and create the exports you request.

What A2KDA collects through the application

Nothing. A2KDA collects no data through RawScope.

Your photographs, metadata and usage information are not sent to A2KDA. RawScope has no accounts, telemetry or analytics.

Local processing and saved settings

Image and metadata processing takes place on your Mac. RawScope saves exports to the location you choose. Export settings and named export presets are stored locally so you can reuse them. You control the source files and exported files and can delete them using macOS.

Photographic metadata in exports

For supported formats, you can preserve or remove photographic metadata. Preserved metadata may include GPS coordinates. OpenEXR exports do not preserve photographic metadata or add RawScope application provenance. Supported exports can identify RawScope as the creating application even when photographic metadata is removed. This identifier is stored in the exported file; it is not a tracking connection.

Links you choose to open

If you activate the Google Maps link for a photograph's embedded location, its coordinates are included in the link opened by your browser. Google receives those coordinates when the destination is accessed. RawScope does not send the coordinates to Google in the background.

Website, privacy and support links open external destinations. Your browser or the destination service then handles the request under its own privacy practices.

This website

A2KDA has not added advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, visitor accounts, forms or remote fonts to this website. The hosting provider may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the site. Local image processing in RawScope is separate from this website hosting.

Support correspondence and deletion requests

If you choose to contact A2KDA, the information you send is used to respond to your enquiry. Avoid sending photographs, GPS coordinates or other personal information unless needed and requested. Any correspondence you send is separate from RawScope's local processing.

We retain support correspondence only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and resolve any related issues, then delete it. To request earlier deletion, email RawScope@a2kda.com.

Policy updates

Changes to data handling will be reflected in this policy, with an updated review date.
